All Things New

"And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new." And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”'-Revelation 21:5 (NASB)

It's been a long time since God has breathed a poem into me. I could always force myself to write something but nothing truly meaningful would come out of it. Pen to paper is not as easy as it seems. So over the last couple of years, God has been taking me through this pretty intense refining process. He has been molding me, breathing new life into me, breaking off lies I let encapsulate me, and He's been giving me this newfound confidence–confidence to walk in the callings I always knew were instilled in me by His creative hands. *Cue all the tears and feels, haha*

So when doors started to open a couple of months ago and this incredible journey unfolded, He began to breathe new words into me. And just in time, His perfect time.

One of my first opportunities was to work on the promo video script for our women's conference (Radiant 2017) with our extremely creative and talented Video Director, Sharayah. I vividly remember staying up until 3/4am that morning out of pure excitement–reading, sketching, and writing words that only the Spirit could provide. And this is what came of it...

Check out the masterpiece below that our Story Team created from the script and poem I gave them. They perfected it and made it into so much more than I dreamed. It was an honor and absolute joy to get to have this as our first collaborative project of many to come! And while this might just be a promo to some, it means so.much.more. to me. It's literally a visual representation of my life over these past two years along with Spirit-breathed poetry. Thank You, Jesus. Only You could do something like this...only You could make all things new.

All Things New

It's only when we are broken | that we can we repair It's only through a fracture | that we can we see what lies beneath Pristine is a lie | we must let the crack run its length

Former things are gone They have surely passed away Former things are gone

We are the clay, He is the potter We are the work of His hand It's only through letting go | that we can be given The seeds to which were always meant to grow...Oh! but a taste of heaven

The planting of purpose, life, beauty, and value reveal That we will do more than just heal We are no longer empty vessels

Former things are gone They have surely passed away Former things are gone We must let them stay that way

Behold! There is beauty in the broken things There is new life He is making all things new.
